Dr. Lindsay Pate is a licensed psychologist with more than a decade of experience at Samaritan. Lindsay received her Master’s degree and Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the Northwestern University School of Medicine in Chicago, IL. She attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received her Bachelor of Science in Psychology with a minor in Japanese. Lindsay is a Licensed Health Service Provider in Psychology in Tennessee, Mississippi, and an authorized PSYPACT provider for telepsychology.  She is a member of the American Psychological Association with participation in the Society of Clinical Child & Adolescent Psychology and the Society for Family Psychology.

Dr. Pate joined the staff of Samaritan Counseling Center in February 2014 on a part-time basis. She also works as an Assistant Director in the Clinical Services Department for Youth Villages. Lindsay completed a predoctoral internship at the University of Tennessee Professional Psychology Internship Consortium in Memphis, TN. She completed her postdoctoral fellowship at the Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA through Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. In addition to her clinical work, she has given professional presentations on child abuse, anxiety, depression, LGBTQ+ topics, grief/loss, infant/early childhood mental health, parenting practices, Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), and Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT).

Lindsay grew up in Memphis and lives in Midtown with her husband, young children, and dogs. She is a lifelong member of Idlewild Presbyterian Church. Lindsay enjoys cooking & baking, reading, traveling, and watching college sports (UNC basketball and Auburn football).

She offers psychotherapy services to children, adolescents, young adults, and their families in a variety of areas including behavior problems, anxiety, depression, relationship problems, trauma, school problems, ADHD, learning disabilities, LGBTQ+ concerns, and child maltreatment.
