The staff of Samaritan Counseling Center represents a diverse group of trained mental health professionals. Our counselors work with individuals, couples, and families.
Don Anderson
Counseling Staff
Don has a background in family systems, addiction, codependency and trauma. He works with behavioral addictions (sex, relationship, work, gambling, high risk, power and control) as well as substance addictions (alcohol, drugs, nicotine, food).
Mary "Terez" Carter
Counseling Staff
Mary “Terez” Carter, LCSW is a Wisconsin native, mother of three sons and two step-sons. She has a BA from the University of Wisconsin at Madison in Interpersonal Communications and a Masters in Social Work from Western Michigan University.
Elizabeth Dick
Counseling Staff
The Rev. Elizabeth Dick is a clinical social worker with nearly 30 years’ experience in ministry in the Presbyterian Church (USA). She graduated from Davidson College with a BA in English, Union Theological Seminary in New York City with a Masters of Divinity, and Saint Louis University with a Masters in Social Work.
Earle Donelson
Counseling Staff
Earle Donelson, Ph.D., received his Doctorate in Psychology from Kent State University. He also has a MA in Psychology and a BA in Special Education and English from the University of Northern Colorado. Earle is a licensed Health Service Provider in Psychology in Tennessee and a member of the American Psychological Association.
Alexandria Morris
Counseling Staff
Alexandria Morris is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Freed-Hardeman University in 2019. Alexandria has worked in both private practice and community based mental health facilities.
Lindsay Pate
Counseling Staff
Dr. Pate joined the staff of Samaritan Counseling Center in February 2014 on a part-time basis. She also works as a Clinical Services Program Manager for Youth Villages. Lindsay completed a predoctoral internship at the University of Tennessee Professional Psychology Internship Consortium in Memphis, TN.
Rod Spencer
Counseling Staff
The Rev. Rod Spencer is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Tennessee. He has counseled in various capacities since 1983, when he received his M.Div. from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.
Lisa Winborn
Counseling Staff
Dr. Lisa Winborn has joined the clinical staff at Samaritan Counseling Centers of the Mid-South. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology from Auburn University and MS and PhD degrees in Clinical and Counseling Psychology from the University of Memphis.
Kristin Fox-Trautman
Executive Director
Kristin comes to Samaritan with 25 years of experience in nonprofit management and leadership, serving in prior positions such as Director of Congregational Relations for MIFA, Director of Operations & Grants for Playback Memphis and the Vice President for Youth Development and the Senior Advisor to the President of BRIDGES, before launching her own freelance nonprofit consulting firm in 2014 and a small local mission-driven business, Inspire Community Café, in 2018.
Ellen Caldwell
Administrative Coordinator
Ellen has worked at Samaritan since 2021. In her position, she manages the accounting and oversees communications, website maintenance, human resources, IT support and more. Her days are always varied! Ellen graduated from the University of Memphis with a Masters in Communication and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre. When not at work, she enjoys decorating and organizing homes, swimming, nature walks and cooking for friends and family.
