The staff of Samaritan Counseling Center represents a diverse group of trained mental health professionals. Our counselors work with individuals, couples, and families.
Jeremy Pitzer, LCSW
Clinical Lead
Jeremy is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 20 years experience across a variety of behavioral health settings. Jeremy has worked in the inpatient, outpatient, residential and crisis realms, in both clinical and operational capacities, and he has extensive experience in treating clients with depression, anxiety, trauma and addiction.

Alexandria Morris, LPC
Counseling Staff
Alexandria Morris is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC). She received her Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Freed-Hardeman University in 2019. Alexandria has worked in both private practice and community based mental health facilities.

Lindsay Pate, PhD, HSP
Counseling Staff
Dr. Pate joined the staff of Samaritan Counseling Center in February 2014 on a part-time basis. She also works as a Clinical Services Program Manager for Youth Villages. Lindsay completed a predoctoral internship at the University of Tennessee Professional Psychology Internship Consortium in Memphis, TN.

Don Anderson, LPC
Counseling Staff
Don Anderson, LPC, has been a Licensed Professional Counselor since 2006, having received his Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Memphis. While Don has spent most of his counseling career in private practice, he has also worked in facilities that focus on treating substance and behavioral addiction. Don has extensive experience with LGBTQ+ issues and is LGBTQ+ affirming. Don is a single dad with 2 adopted sons.

Elizabeth Dick, MDiv, LCSW

The Rev. Elizabeth Dick is a clinical social worker with nearly 30 years’ experience in ministry in the Presbyterian Church (USA). She graduated from Davidson College with a BA in English, Union Theological Seminary in New York City with a Masters of Divinity, and Saint Louis University with a Masters in Social Work.

Anne Bryan, LCSW
Counseling Staff
Anne Bryan, LCSW, is a dedicated Licensed Clinical Social Worker with a Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Tennessee Memphis School of Social Work (2007) and a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work from Belmont University (2003). Over her career, Anne has cultivated extensive experience in community mental health settings, providing supervision for graduate-level students in both field placements and licensure supervision.

Rod Spencer, MDiv, LPC
Counseling Staff
The Rev. Rod Spencer is an ordained minister in the Presbyterian Church (USA) and a Licensed Professional Counselor in Tennessee. He has counseled in various capacities since 1983, when he received his M.Div. from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary.

Jesse Abell, DMin, LMSW

Jesse Abell is a licensed master social worker (LMSW) with nearly 20 years of ordained ministry experience in the Episcopal Church. He earned his bachelor’s in psychology at Indiana Wesleyan University, and later earned his Master of Social Work at the University of Memphis. He providers counseling for children, teens, and adults.

Isabel Duarte, LMSW
Counseling Staff
Isabel Duarte is a bilingual Licensed Master Social Worker who earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of Memphis School of Social Work in 2021. She has experience working in community mental health settings with individuals across diverse ages, socio-economic contexts, and cultural backgrounds.

Henry Isaac, LPC

Henry is a highly experienced and compassionate licensed professional counselor with 27 years of clinical experience providing high-quality mental health care. He holds a Master of Science in Counseling and Personnel Services from the University of Memphis and a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Mississippi State University, grounding his work in both strong clinical training and a deep understanding of human behavior and social systems.

Nancy Manire, LCSW
Counseling Staff
Nancy Manire is a licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). She has an undergraduate degree in history and a master’s degree in social work plus 3 years of inpatient psychiatric work with supervision before sitting for the licensure exam for the state of Tennessee. She has been practicing since 1993, mostly in an Employee Assistance Program setting which she thoroughly enjoyed. While she has retired from full-time counseling, she finds she still enjoy seeing people, trying to help them sort through whatever difficulties they may be having.

Emily Srisarajivakul, Ph.D., HSP
Psychoeducational Assessments
Dr. Emily is currently an Assistant Professor, School Psychology, in the Department of Psychology at the University of Memphis. She received her Master of Education in Human Development and Psychology from Harvard University (2014), Master of Education in School Psychology from Georgia State University (2018), and her Doctor of Philosophy in School Psychology from Georgia State University (2021).
Lynn Dunavant, Senior Psychological Examiner, School Psychologist
Psychoeducational Assessments
Ms. Dunavant has over 35 years’ experience as a school psychologist and licensed senior psychological examiner. She has worked in urban public schools (Memphis and Nashville) as well as rural county schools, in charter schools, and private settings. She has also worked independently in private practice. Areas of concentration include assessment of preschool students whose first language is not English, ADHD and mental health issues, teacher consultation, crisis intervention and counseling. She has additional training in grief, intervention for dyslexia, and counseling. She holds both a school psychology license from the TN Department of Education and is licensed by the TN Health Related Board of Examiners in Psychology.
Asya Miles, Doctoral Candidate, School Psychology
Psychoeducational Assessments
Asya is a doctoral candidate in School Psychology at the University of Memphis, where she also earned her Master of Science in School Psychology. She has extensive supervised experience conducting psychoeducational and neurodevelopmental assessments with children ranging from preschool through adolescence. Her work includes cognitive and academic achievement testing, behavioral and adaptive assessments, diagnostic and parent interviews, classroom observations, comprehensive report writing, and feedback sessions with families.
Kristin Hardy, Doctoral Student, School Psychology
Psychoeducational Assessments
Kristin is a doctoral student in School Psychology at the University of Memphis with specialized training and supervised experience in psychoeducational assessment for children and adolescents. She has conducted comprehensive evaluations to help families better understand a child’s learning, academic, behavioral, and social-emotional needs. Her experience includes cognitive and academic achievement testing, behavioral and emotional assessments, parent and teacher interviews, classroom observations, and developing practical recommendations to support children at home and at school.
Asheligh Hite, LMSW
Intake Coordinator
Ashleigh Hite is a Licensed Master Social Worker who began her therapy career in New Orleans. She has worked in a variety of settings: in middle and high schools teaching about suicide prevention, in residential substance abuse treatment, and with families who have experienced domestic violence, to name a few. In her role at Samaritan, Ashleigh helps connect people interested in therapy with the supportive, compassionate therapists that make up Samaritan’s counseling staff.
Kristin Fox-Trautman, MA, LMSW
Executive Director
Kristin comes to Samaritan with 25 years of experience in nonprofit management and leadership, serving in prior positions such as Director of Congregational Relations for MIFA, Director of Operations & Grants for Playback Memphis and the Vice President for Youth Development and the Senior Advisor to the President of BRIDGES, before launching her own freelance nonprofit consulting firm in 2014 and a small local mission-driven business, Inspire Community Café, in 2018.
Ellen Caldwell, MA, MFA
Administrative Coordinator
Ellen has worked at Samaritan since 2021. In her position, she manages the accounting and oversees communications, website maintenance, human resources, IT support and more. Her days are always varied! Ellen graduated from the University of Memphis with a Masters in Communication and a Master of Fine Arts in Theatre. When not at work, she enjoys decorating and organizing homes, swimming, nature walks and cooking for friends and family.
Penny White
Billing
Penny White serves as the contracted professional biller for Samaritan. Penny is a certified medical coder and CEO of Grace Medical Billing, a local medical billing company with 16 years experience working statewide to serve medical professionals, by providing billing, medical coding, insurance verification and collection services.
